Dozier had a phenomenal run to close the July AAU season with the Upward Stars at the UAA Finals in Atlanta and last weekend in Las Vegas. Coming off of an ACL injury, it is always difficult to get past that mental wall in landing on the bad leg, or turning and making explosive moves off of it. In watching and evaluating Dozier at all three of his stops in July,’s National Recruiting Analyst Corey Evans can firmly state that this kid is back and better than ever. The 6-foot-6 guard can play the multiple positions on the floor and really is at his best when placed with the basketball in running his team. Dozier’s outside jumper does need a bit of tweaking, however his explosiveness and athleticism at the rim may be the best that it has ever been and it seemed that he threw down a highlight dunk in each game that he played in during his time in Vegas.

Louisville, North Carolina, Georgetown, South Carolina and Michigan edged out other competitors including Georgia Tech, Clemson and Florida to get a shot as a finalist for his services.

“I will be taking official visits to those five schools,” Dozier added via Twitter about the next step in his recruitment.
